Cliff Brady earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago in 1981. He then earned his master’s degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology. After completing his education, Cliff worked with Gary Fencik and Leslie Frazier of the Chicago Bears ‘85 Super Bowl team, who suggested he start a program for second career planning. In 1987 he was certified through the NFLPA and he began his life’s work of representing NFL athletes and helping them to leverage their time in the NFL to spring board them into a second career after their playing days in the NFL.
Cliff has two children, Kelli and Cameron, and now resides in Illinois with his wife, Carolyn. He likes to re-charge his batteries in Naples, FL, where he enjoys fishing, golfing and just relaxing.
Ryan received his law degree from the University of Denver in 2006 after doing his undergraduate work in business at the College of William and Mary. While at William and Mary he competed in track and field and cross-country and was a multiple All-Conference award winner.
Ryan’s professional career started while he was still in college as he served as the director of marketing for a semi-pro soccer team in Williamsburg, Virginia. He took a job as the general manager of an A-League soccer team right after graduation. After spending six months working in the Denver Broncos organization, Ryan was hired by the law firm of Larson & Larimer, P.C. in his final year in law school.
Ryan has been an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor since 2006. Ryan currently works as an NFL agent from his office in Orange County, CA. If Ryan isn’t at the office or at a game he is likely on the golf course with a client or spending time with his wife Katie and their young son Griffin.
Jim Grogan received his law degree from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law after doing his undergraduate work at the University of Nevada. Jim has been an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor since 2000.
Jim has been involved in professional and collegiate football for 15 years. He worked for the Oakland Raiders organization. With the Raiders, he worked with both the legal and public relations teams for the team. In addition, Jim worked at the collegiate level with a Division I and junior college football programs. These experiences and relationships from the NFL and collegiate football programs have provided him with a wealth of contacts, experience and knowledge as a NFLPA Contract Advisor.
Jim and his wife Jennifer have two children, Cade and Avery. Jim enjoys time with his family, coaching his kids’ sports, exercising, movies, and eating.
Rilio graduated from Hamline University School of Law in 1989 with a Law Degree (Juris Doctor). While at Hamline he competed on the Hamline Crew Team. Additionally, he attended University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana from 1982 to 1986 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Sociology (Double Major).
Additionally, Rilio has over 25 years in contract negotiation, sales, and marketing in the corporate sector which he brings to bear when representing players. His experience gives him the tools to create ideal situations for his players in the marketing and contract negotiation areas.
He currently lives in Lansing, IL, with his wife Mary, and his two sons, Tony and Paul. His hobbies include movies, trivia, and spending time with his family.
Tom has been an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor since 1996. His prior work experience includes employment at the NFL Players Association, the Kansas City Chiefs and the law firm of Armstrong, Teasdale, Schlafly, and Davis in Kansas City. He recently served on the NFLPA’s drafting committee for the examination given to prospective player agents.
He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration. He went on to earn his law degree in 1994 from the University of Kansas Law School.
He currently lives in Lafayette, Colorado, with his wife, Sue, and daughters, Holly and Grace. His hobbies including golf, tennis, snow skiing and spending time with his family.
Drew Pittman has assisted more than 100 players in their pursuit of their dream and has had numerous NFL Draft picks. Drew’s clients consider his ability to lead as they navigate their careers as one of his greatest assets.
Drew is the author of First Team Dad, Your Playbook For A Winning Family which helps men become better leaders of their homes. In the Forward he wrote for the book, Drew’s good friend Tony Dungy says of the bond that brought them together, "It was our job to help our players grow as athletes and as people…”
Drew was a member of the nationally ranked soccer team at Southern Methodist University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Drew had experience in the banking and commercial real estate industries but leveraged this background and began his career as an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor in 1992.
Drew loves to golf, fish, hangout on the lake with his family and he is an avid cyclist. He resides in the Texas Hill Country just North of Austin with his wife, Layne, and two sons, Jake and Eli.
After playing running back and defensive back at Columbia University in New York, Kevin received his law degree from the University of Colorado in 1998. While excelling in academics, Kevin was also an All-Ivy League football selection. Kevin became an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor in 1999.
Kevin has also worked at J.P. Morgan on Wall Street, as a financial analyst at Allstate Insurance Company’s regional office, and as an attorney at the law firm of Burg, Simpson, Eldridge, Hersh, and Jardine. Kevin’s combination of financial acumen and legal expertise make him a versatile agent for professional athletes.
He currently resides in Denver Colorado, where he has three sons, Xavier, Khamel & Kayden.
Matt is an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor and licensed Attorney. Matt received his law degree, with honors, from the University of North Dakota in 2006, where he was also elected law school President. Prior to attending law school, Matt played cornerback and wide receiver at Highland Community College (KS), North Dakota State University, and Lane College (TN). At Highland, Matt was elected team captain, named the most valuable defensive back, and was selected to play in the Junior College All-American Bowl (where he was named the Most Valuable Player). After junior college, Matt received numerous full-ride Division I scholarship offers. Matt graduated, with honors, from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, in 2002.
Prior to joining Capital Sports Advisors, Matt worked as an attorney at the law firm of Ritsema and Lyon, P.C. in downtown Denver, Colorado, where he represented employers and professional sports teams in various legal matters. He is a frequent guest speaker at Universities and Law Schools around the country. Matt's football experience, coupled with his broad legal knowledge, makes him an excellent advocate and advisor for his clients. Matt and his wife Sara, reside in Colorado Springs, CO with their children, Bo, Tate, and Sofie.
Jack Mills – Of Counsel
Jack holds both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma. After serving two years in the U.S. Army performing intelligence operations, Jack was hired as an assistant athletic director at the University of Colorado. After a year at Colorado, Jack entered private practice specializing in sports law. He has represented NFL football players for over 40 years. His clients include NFL Hall-of-Famers and Heisman Trophy winners. He is a Director and past President of the Sports Lawyers Association (of which he was a founding member).
Jack also teaches a course in Sports Law at the University of Colorado School of Law. Jack is on the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Colorado. The National Sports Law Institute recently presented Jack with the Joseph E. O’Neill award, in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of sports law, ethics, and integrity. He resides in Boulder, CO with his wife Cirrelda.
